I-20 reopens after deadly crash involving multiple vehicles

Police are investigating a deadly wreck involving multiple vehicles in downtown Atlanta early Tuesday. 

According to police, three vehicles crashed around 3:30 a.m. on Interstate 20 eastbound near the Downtown Connector ramps. Authorities told FOX 5 six people were injured and at least one person was killed.  

The Fulton County Medical Examiner has identified the deceased man as 31-year-old Atlanta resident Demetrius Cotton.

I-20 eastbound was shut down for hours as police remained on scene investigating. The interstate didn't reopen until shortly after 8 a.m.

No word yet as to what caused the wreck, but we're told one of the vehicles caught fire, and crews rushed to help someone trapped inside.
