Did you know February is Heart Month? It's a national effort to prevent heart attacks and strokes, while encouraging Americans to keep their blood pressure under control. Children's Healthcare of Atlanta wants you to wrap your mind around Heart Month because you save a life.
CHOA is sharing this video of 17-year-old Claire who went into cardiac arrest--in the middle of a school's volleyball game. Thankfully, the staff was trained on how to use an automated external defibrillator (AED), through Project S.A.V.E. Because of that training and knowledge, they were able to save Claire's life.
