EDNIBURG, Texas - The last standing Blockbuster video store in Texas is shutting its doors.
The store in Edinburg officially closed on January 21 but reopened over the weekend for one last liquidation sale that could go on for a few weeks. Nostalgic fans of the 90's video superstore may still have time to snag deals.
There were once 9,000 Blockbuster stores in the U.S. There are now just eight -- six in Alaska and two in Oregon. Blockbuster opened its first store in Dallas in 1985.
