It was a huge surprise for an area animal shelter.

The Lifeline Animal Project in Chamblee is the recipient of a $1 million grant from the Petco Foundation.

Lifeline says all of the money will go toward the long list of services the shelter provides.

The foundation is travelling around the country to different shelters, donating a total of $14 million in grant investments to animal welfare organizations.
