ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - Police say a woman had been drinking with friends and called Lyft for a ride home from Knights Pub, near the University of Central Florida, around 10:30 p.m. on July 1. Detectives say Solomon showed up in an older minivan, but instead of taking her home, he took the woman to his house.
According to investigators, Solomon forced the woman out of his car and into his home and sexually assaulted her in a bedroom. At one point, detectives say the woman tried to escape, but Solomon dragged her back inside.
After the attack, investigators say Solomon forced the woman back into his car, then dropped her off near the intersection of Semoran Blvd. and Colonial Drive.
“While she was in transit, she was basically able to call 911 and put the phone down to where it was an open line, and she was talking out loud to make it look like normal conversation with the driver -- the suspect -- and she was able to give landmarks,” said Sgt. Tami Edwards with the Orlando Police Department.
This is Solomon’s first arrest in Orange County. Investigators say he could have more victims. A Lyft spokeswoman says Solomon is banned permanently from the company.
