Mother give update on son shot at restaurant
The mother of a man shot outside a Gwinnett County restaurant last week makes a plea for justice. Police say Jose Nieto was shot six times by Carlos Alvear-Olive after an altercation at the Mariscos El Korita restaurant in Norcross.
GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. - A man who confronted another man for groping a woman at a Mexican restaurant is still recovering and his mother is speaking out.
Gwinnett County police say Jose Daniel Nieto confronted Carlos Alvear-Olive for touching a woman inapproately.
The two men began fighting and Alvear-Olive pulled out a gun and began shooting, police say.
Nieto was shot 6 times.
Nieto's mother talked about her son's injuries through a translator.
Alvear-Olive is still on the run and police are asking anyone who has seen him to give them a call.

Accused restaurant gunman on the run
Police are looking for the suspect involved in a shooting at a local restaurant. Authorities say on June 6, Carlos Alvear-Olive shot a man after the two got into an argument. This happened at restaurant on South Norcross Tucker Road.
Gwinnett County police are searching for a man accused of shooting another man multiple times during a confrontation at a local restaurant.
Officials say the shooting happened just before 12:30 a.m. June 6 at the North Rockbridge Plaza Shopping Center on the 5900 block of South Norcross Tucker Road.
At the scene, officers found the victim in front of the restaurant with multiple gunshot wounds.

Medics rushed the victim to a local hospital. At last report, he was still being treated for his injuries.
Investigators say they believe the violence began when the suspect, identified as 44-year-old Carlos Alvear-Olive, reportedly touched a woman inappropriately inside the restaurant.
The man who was shot reportedly confronted Alvear-Olive and the argument continued outside. It was at that time that Alvear-Olive reportedly pulled out a weapon from his waistband and shot the man multiple times in the torso before walking away from the area.

In a security video provided by police, the man is seen walking away nodding before turning around and firing while his victim reaches his arm out to try and stop him.
The suspect is now wanted for aggravated assault, aggravated battery, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, theft by receiving, and sexual battery. He remains on the run,
