LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - Lawrenceville Police have arrested a man for a deadly hit and run.
Investigators said 79-year-old Tran Hong was walking along the side of Johnson Road Monday, Sept. 10 when she was hit by a U-Haul truck near Daniel Drive.
Police said after hitting Hong, the U-Haul driver took off, leaving her to die.
"Why? Why didn't you stop? I mean, that's it. It's so simple," said Ronnie Spears, who ran to help Hong after the crash. "That's a human being."
