COLLEGE PARK, Ga. - A College Park man charged in the murder of his girlfriend has waived his first appearance in court.
Police said Reginald Jones called 911 after shooting and killing his 23-year-old girlfriend, Faith Bittinger, Saturday night. Investigators said Bittinger was shot once in the chest inside an apartment on Camp Creek Parkway.
Jones was charged with murder and possession of a firearm, according to police.

Bittinger's family told FOX 5 that Jones and Bittinger were living together, and have a daughter who will turn 1-year-old in August. Loved ones described the couple's relationship as "rocky."
