Man found dead behind Forest Park home identified
FOREST PARK, Ga. - Police have identified the man found dead in a Forest Park neighborhood. Investigators are trying to determine what lead to the death of 35-year-old Ollie Antonio Stephens.
Officers were alerted just before 4 p.m. on Saturday about a person found dead. They came to the home located at 570 Yancey Drive, where the man's body was found in the backyard. Police say that the home has been vacant for an unknown period of time.
Through their investigation, officers say it appears the man, 35-year-old Atlanta resident Ollie Antonio Stephens, died from at least one gunshot wound. Detectives are calling this a homicide as they continue to investigate.
Residents informed FOX 5 about the police activity around 4 p.m. A heavy police presence was seen near the intersection with Hendrix Drive, where detectives investigated the crime for hours. Neighbors were also gathered around crime scene tape that blocked off surrounding streets.
