Man hurt in fiery Hapeville crash dies; victim identified
HAPEVILLE, Ga. - Authorities have identified a man who died after a fiery car crash in Hapeville.
Police say the mother of the victim came forward to identify her son after a friend showed her a photo from a news story. The victim’s identify has not been released.
On November 14, a black Infiniti convertible crashed along the northbound lanes of Interstate 85 on and exploded in flames. Police say a Good Samaritan pulled the occupant from the vehicle. The occupant died on November 25 from his injuries.
Police released a sketch in hopes of identifying the victim, who was described as a black male, in his teens to early 20’s, between 5’6” -5’7” tall and weighing about 150 pounds.
