Man killed in DeKalb County house fire

DeKalb County fire crews are investigating a deadly house fire.  

Officials said the call came in around 4:00 a.m. Thursday about a working fire in the 7000 block of Covington Highway.  When first responders arrived on the scene they found heavy smoke and fire in the structure.  

Once the fire was under control fire crews discovered a 42-year-old man's body. 

The victim was found in an upstairs bedroom. 

Authorities said four other people were inside the home when the fire broke out, but made it out safely. 

Investigators are working to determine what caused the fire.
