DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. - One man died and another was injured in a shooting early Monday morning in DeKalb County, according to police.
The victims were inside a black Mustang that crashed before 3 a.m. near a Citgo gas station on Moreland Avenue, by the entrance ramp to Interstate 285. Police say a third man was also inside the vehicle but wasn't hurt. Officers told FOX 5 that the uninjured man was too intoxicated to be of any help with the investigation. The victims were taken to Grady Memorial Hospital.
Police say it appears the men may have been at a nearby nightclub before the shooting. They say they think a white SUV pulled up next to the Mustang, and someone in the SUV opened fire. There was no clear motive or any description of any suspects in the hours immediately after the shooting.
Investigators say the victim who died was 32 years old. The survivor, a 22 year old man, is in serious but stable condition.
