Man shot 5 times, robbed after game at Grant Park
ATLANTA - A local rapper is recovering after being shot five times at Grant Park in Atlanta.
Jonathan Querisma, whose stage name is Charisma Mufasa, says the shooting happened after a basketball game at the park just after 6 p.m. Sunday.
The 25-year-old artist sustained gunshot wounds to his arms and legs. He sat down with FOX 5's Marissa Mitchell Monday soon after he returned home from the hospital.
"It could've been worse but it wasn't my time to go, I guess," he said.
He said he and his friend played basketball against a group of men. After the game, he said someone ran up behind him and pistol-whipped him before stealing his cash. He added another man then opened fire.
"I guess they saw an opportunity and was looking for somebody with money on them," Querisma told Mitchell.
If you have any information about the crime, you're asked to call Atlanta Police.
