Man shot at Atlanta back-to-school event

ATLANTA - A 23-year-old man attending a back-to-school event in an East Atlanta park has been rushed to the hospital with a gunshot wound.

Officials say the man was attending the event at Coan Park when he was shot in the leg.

The event, known as Zone 6 Day, was supposed to have an attendance of about 200 people, but the crowd exceeded 2,000. Celebrities like 21 Savage were billed for the kid-friendly event.

The victim is said to be in stable condition.

Police detained two people in connection to the crime and are working to determine what caused the shooting.
