Marco Rubio campaigns in Georgia
ATLANTA - GOP gubernatorial candidate Senator Marco Rubio was joined by South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley during a campaign stop in Buckhead Monday.
Governor Haley fired up Rubio supporters before Tuesday's Georgia Primary.
"Georgia needs to stand up tomorrow and you need to show the entire country what we want in a president and that's Marco Rubio," the governor said.
Monday's campaign event in Buckhead was the Florida senator's second Georgia appearance in as many days. Rubio held a rally in Kennesaw on Saturday.
Rubio continued his attack on frontrunner Donald Trump's character, challenging Trump's assertion that he is a true conservative.
"Do you realize if he's our nominee Americans will say a Republican is someone like Donald Trump a conservative means Donald Trump. We are going to lose a generation of voters and a generation of Americans most of whom want to be nothing like Donald Trump," said Rubio.
That message resonated with those here who believe Rubio is the one candidate who can bring the country together.
"He was awesome it was a great message today. I think he's going to do well we will see tomorrow", said Rubio supporter Ken Spradlin.
