Officials said an electrical fire at Lakewood Station caused disruption along the north-south MARTA rail line Wednesday afternoon. It’s the second time this week fires have disrupted service.

MARTA officials said the electrical fire caused a section of track to become inoperable. MARTA was forced to set up a bus bridge between the East Point, Lakewood, Oakland City and West End stations early Wednesday evening as crews worked to restore power.

The cause of electrical fire was not immediately known.

Peachtree Center Station and Chamblee Stations were closed on Monday afternoon due to nearby fires and smoke.
