MARTA Gold Line rail service restored following disruption due to a fallen tree
ATLANTA - MARTA says train rail service on the Gold Line between the Lenox station and the Doraville station is back to normal operations after a tree fell and caused a power outage. according to a tweet from the transit service's official Twitter page.
MARTA says the large tree fell and cut a power line, which disrupted service on the Gold Line on northbound and southbound lines. A bus bridge was used to transport passengers between the Lenox and Doraville stations.
Workers went to the scene to remove the tree.
MARTA said power was restored around 8:30 p.m. on Friday.
