ATLANTA - A MARTA police officer was involved in a car crash early Friday morning, which resulted in a downed pole and outage in the intersection's traffic lights.

It happened at the intersection of Forsyth Street and Luckie Street in downtown Atlanta just before 4:30 a.m.
A witness told FOX 5 he heard a series of loud booms before he rushed outside.
A traffic light pole busted out the officer's back windshield.

Atlanta police said the officer was not injured, but the driver of the other vehicle was transported to a nearby hospital with minor injuries.
It's unclear if the MARTA police officer was responding to a call at the time of the crash. The incident is still under investigation.
The intersection was cleared just after 6:30 a.m.
