Fire officials are investigating a massive blaze at a business in Lithonia.

DeKalb County firefighters were called to the 2400 block of Lithonia Industrial Boulevard early Thursday morning after a fire broke out at the National Equipment Development Company (NEDCO).

Captain Eric Jackson told FOX 5 firefighters arrived on scene within a minute of receiving a call about the blaze. Upon arrival, firefighters said the fire was already well in advance.

The blaze has since been contained, but firefighters battled the "defensive" fire for several hours. They remain on scene dumping water on what's left of the building.

"We've had a total roof collapse," Captain Jackson told FOX 5's Kaitlyn Pratt.

Officials said there are no reports of any injuries.

NEDCO is a manufacturer of high speed folding and packaging equipment for the textile and apparel industries.
