Mattie's Call: 87-year-old Marietta man with dementia missing
COBB COUNTY, Ga. - Authorities have issued a Mattie’s Call for 87-year-old John Elmer Eaton, who went missing on the morning of Jan. 30 after leaving his home in Marietta.
Eaton was last seen around 8 a.m. when he left to meet friends but never arrived. He has dementia and atrial fibrillation and did not take his medication with him, raising concerns for his safety.
He was driving a 2003 silver Toyota 4Runner with Georgia license plate 499WPR and was last spotted in Lawrenceville and Social Circle. At the time of his disappearance, Eaton was wearing a dark-colored sweatshirt and navy-blue work pants.
Authorities have listed him as missing in national databases and are urging the public to be on the lookout. Anyone who sees Eaton or his vehicle is asked to call 911 or contact Cobb County Police immediately.
Police and family members are asking for the public’s help in sharing his information to aid in his safe return.
