Garbage truck takes out trash, power in Midtown Atlanta too

A sanitation worker reportedly knocked out the power for nearly 500 customers in Midtown Wednesday afternoon.

A sanitation worker accidentally took out more than just the trash Wednesday afternoon. He knocked out the power for nearly 500 customers in Midtown Atlanta.

The Atlanta Fire and Rescue Department, police and Georgia Power were out on 13th Street earlier where a garbage truck took out power lines while backing up.

As of 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, 65 customers across Fulton County were still out.
