Tuesday Afternoon Forecast Update

Sunny skies and mild temperatures in store for this afternoon.

Winter has officially arrived, although it might not feel that way for the next few days.

Despite Monday being the official start to winter, temperatures will be warmer than average with highs near 60 under mostly sunny skies to start out the week.

It looks like rain will enter north Georgia overnight Wednesday into Thursday morning with a line of thunderstorms possible Thursday morning as the cold front comes through.

The rain will be out of here by noon or early afternoon and then, as temperatures fall into the 30s during the afternoon.

Still, with the combination of the rain and cold weather, there is the possibility of flurries by late afternoon and evening on Christmas Eve.
