A Clayton County mother was arrested after authorities said she ran away with her 14-month-old twins.

Police said Kaden Shamar Wilson and Kaleel Shamir Wilson were taken from their home by their mother, Ka’Miyah Cherrelle Wilson, last Friday around 12:35 a.m. The children were taken without medical equipment, which police said is vital to keep little Kaden alive. The twins were born premature, according to police.

The children’s grandmother told police their mother has stopped feeding Kaden doctor prescribed formula and instead started to feed him a “smoothie concoction” using a syringe which caused Kaden to suffer significant weight loss.

Kaden, according to police, requires oxygen and feeding tubes. He is described as being “medically fragile.”

Police said Ka’Miyah Wilson's vehicle was spotted in DeKalb County after a Levi's Call was issued. She was taken into custody on a warrant for cruelty to children in the 1st degree.

Kaleel and Kaden, according to officials, appeared in good health, but were taken to an area hospital to be checked out.

Wilson is being held at the DeKalb County Jail.
