Missing Tenn. Toddler Found Safe, Suspect in Custody
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - A 2-year-old girl from Tennessee is now safe after an Amber Alert was issued on Wednesday following the murder of her mother.
According to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, Brooklynne Emerie Enix was last seen at her home in Knoxville on Tuesday. On Wednesday, investigators said her mother was found dead inside that same home.
The Knoxville Police Department said Brooklynne was taken by her biological father, identified as 36-year-old Tyler Ward Enix. Police said Tyler Enix has been named in a warrant charging him with first degree murder in connection to the girl's mother's death.
They were located in Ohio. Enix is in police custody and investigators said Brooklynne is safe.
The suspect has previously been arrested for domestic assault, false imprisonment and aggravated assault.
