ATLANTA - A few more waves of beneficial rain will sweep through north Georgia through Tuesday.
FOX 5 Storm Team's Joanne Feldman says after a relative lull in the steady rain Monday morning, showers will increase across the area for the afternoon. Otherwise, skies will remain overcast and temperatures will warm a bit over Sunday’s cold 40s.
Instead, afternoon temperatures Monday will rise into the mid to upper 50s.
Late Monday night into early Tuesday, periods of heavy rain and possible thunder can be expected. The steady rain will taper off to patchy light showers Tuesday afternoon with milder temperatures in the 60s for much of the metro area.
Between Monday and Tuesday, an additional 1”-2” of rain, with some isolated totals up to 3”, is expected.
