LITHONIA, Ga. - A Lithonia mother said a crowd of teenagers rolled up to her home and started filming a planned assault.
Anita Shropshire said one girl was after her daughter and brought her "crew" to seek revenge for a social media post.
It took place last Thursday in the front yard of the home. Shropshire said boys and girls, at least a dozen, jumped out swinging bats, knives and firing a gun. A bullet struck the front window.
Shropshire said she stood between the mob and her teen, who is 19-years-old daughter. She sustained injuries to her left hand and wrist.
Neighbors heard and saw the commotion and placed calls to 911. But Shropshire said it took too long for police to arrive. The young people got back in three vehicles and sped away.
The mother complains DeKalb County Police have had information about the assault for six days and have yet to get back to her.
FOX 5 News contacted the authorities, but have not heard back from them.
