Multi-alarm fire at abandoned apartments in northwest Atlanta
ATLANTA (FOX 5 Atlanta) - Firefighters are on the scene of a multi-alarm fire in northwest Atlanta.

Atlanta Fire officials said they were called out to the 300 block of Chappell Road just before 4 p.m. Tuesday. Officials said two structures, believed to be abandoned, were involved.
Firefighters said because of the scope of the blaze, they struck a second alarm.

SKYFOX 5 flew over the scene and spotted an old, abandoned apartment complex with at least two buildings burning. There also was an illegal tire dump which caught fire.
There were reports of collapse on at least one of the buildings, but there have been no reports of injuries.
No word on the cause of the fire.
