33 adults, 10 children displaced by apartment building fire in Norcross

Thirty-three adults and 10 children were displaced by an apartment building fire early Wednesday morning on Sparrows Lane in Norcross.

According to the Gwinnett County Fire Department, they arrived at the fire at 3:33 a.m. Upon arrival, they could see fire blowing through the roof. The first arriving unit was able to knock down the bulk of the flames with a deck gun as other firefighters deployed attack lines into the structure.

Other crew members also deployed multiple fire attack handlines to combat the flames and conduct a building search.

All residents were able to escape safely and the fire was brought under control at 4:32 a.m.

No injuries have been reported.
