Women, 5-year-old stabbed in Union City

Police are searching for answers in a mass stabbing that sent three women and a child to the hospital late Tuesday night in Union City.

A 5-year-old child and multiple women were rushed to the hospital after they were injured in a stabbing at an apartment complex in Union City.

The Union City Police Department tells FOX 5 that officers were called out to the Arcadia Apartments on the 5100 block of Thompson Road at around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday.

When they got to the scene, officers say they saw three adult women with multiple lacerations and entry wounds on parts of both their upper and lower torsos.

A 5-year-old child was found suffering from multiple lacerations as well.

The victims were all taken to Grady Hospital for treatment. Investigators have not released any information identifying the four victims.

This is an ongoing investigation. The Union City Police Department Criminal Investigations Division has assumed a primary investigative role.

Police have not said whether an arrest has been made or if they are looking for a suspect. They also haven't released any details about what led up to the attack.
