Murder suspect flees after high-speed chase from Atlanta to Fayette County

Authorities are searching for an armed and dangerous fugitive wanted for murder in Atlanta after he led police on a high-speed chase Friday night.

What we know:

According to Clayton County Sheriff's Office, Georgia State Patrol troopers attempted to stop Vincent Steele, but he fled into Clayton County. At that point, Clayton County Sheriff's Office deputies attempted to stop Steele on Highway 54, but he kept going, reaching speeds up to 100 mph. 

The chase ended when Steele crashed his car at the intersection of Banks and Fayetteville roads. After the crash, which injured a person, he ran away.

What you can do:

Police warn that Steele is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone who sees him is urged not to approach and to call 911 immediately.

Additionally, the sheriff's office would like to remind the public that anyone caught aiding or harboring Steele will be held accountable.
