New Coweta County Sheriff sworn in

COWETA COUNTY, Ga. (FOX 5 Atlanta) - Coweta County has a new sheriff.

Lenn Wood, the former chief deputy was sworn in as sheriff Friday in front of a packed courtroom.

He replaced long-time Sheriff Mike Yeager who retired and now heads the U.S. Marshals in Atlanta.

Wood will be the interim sheriff until a special election is held in June.

Wood plans to run in what has become a crowded field.
