New life for former Atlanta Olympic site

ATLANTA - New life for a former Olympics site in Atlanta.

The track at Cheney Stadium was a warmup area for track and field athletes at the 1996 Atlanta Summer Olympics.

Thursday, officials held a grand re-opening for the site.

The Atlanta Track Club was behind a lot of the renovation. They said they hope it will be a resource for the community.

The track is located in the Summerhill neighborhood near Grant Park and Georgia State Stadium.
