New pedestrian bridge helps complete 'Mountain to River Trail'

MARIETTA, Ga. - Marietta cut the ribbon on a new pedestrian trail bridge.

The bridge is located near Brown Park on West Atlanta Street.

It is part of the Mountain to River Trail which stretches from Kennesaw Mountain to the city limits of Marietta.

The city's mayor said the trail has already spurred some growth in the city with multiple housing projects popping up nearby.

City officials said the Mountain to River Trail will eventually be around 14 miles long and connect to other trail systems across Cobb County.
