New photo of Peachtree City missing man with Alzheimer's
PEACHTREE CITY, Ga. - Authorities in Fayetteville are intensifying their search for an elderly man, Albert "Al" Novotnak, who has been missing since last Sunday. Officials have been distributing photos of Novotnak, urging anyone who may have seen or offered him a ride to contact authorities immediately.
On Thursday, the Peachtree City Police Department released a new photo of Novotnak taken two days before he disappeared. Investigators noted that his facial hair may now be different.

Detectives are investigating a potential sighting of Novotnak, reported 11 miles from his Fayetteville residence. A woman informed police that she encountered a confused elderly man in the area on Sunday afternoon, who was asking for directions to Walmart. It has been just one of many sightings over the last few days.
Novotnak's family is deeply concerned about his disappearance, noting that this is not the first time he has wandered off. On a previous occasion, he was safely returned home by a Good Samaritan. "We’re praying for his safe return," said a family member. "We know he’s out there somewhere, and we just hope someone has seen him and will call."
The police have conducted extensive searches at the airport and in surrounding areas, while the family remains hopeful for a positive outcome. Officers are expected to be out Friday morning in the area of the Interlochen subdivision to continue the search.
Police say Novotnak lives with Alzheimer's and is easily confused. Anyone with information on Novotnak’s whereabouts is urged to contact Peachtree City Police.
