No bond for suspect accused of raping worker at Atlanta's airport
CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. - The man accused of raping a contract employee at Atlanta’s airport appeared in court on those charges Wednesday.
The worker told police she was sexually assaulted while on the job at Hartsfield-Jackson Airport early Tuesday, investigators said. The victim is described as an employee of a cleaning company that services the airport.
Police said the worker reported that her supervisor forced her to have sex against her will inside a storage room at the airport.
Later in the day Tuesday, officers arrested 47-year-old Eddie Sanders and charged him with rape, according to an Atlanta Police spokesman.
Sanders appeared before a Clayton County Magistrate Judge Wednesday morning and was ordered held without bond.
He is due back in court on Oct. 9.
