Children's Healthcare of Atlanta employees were on their way back to Savannah to transport critical babies to the hospital Friday afternoon.

The hospital sent Specialty Care Neo-Natal Transport Trucks to the coast to pick up the pediatric patients from two hospitals.

As Hurricane Dorian approached the Georgia coast, drivers, respiratory nurses, and respiratory therapists made the trip to treat the babies and bring them here.

The babies stayed in the newborn intensive care until the storm passed.
