Officer involved in shooting indicted
ATLANTA - A grand jury had indicted a former Atlanta police officer with aggravated assault for his involvement in a 2017 shooting near the Georgia Dome.
Officer Matthieu Cadeau was working an off-duty job when he fired a single shot at Noel Hall.
Hall was in town for Motorfest. That's an event where his son was a participant.
Hall says Officer Cadeau blocked him from going inside a section he had credentials to enter.
When he tried to go around the Officer Cadeau shot him.
Hall and his attorneys have also filed a civil lawsuit against the Atlanta Police Department, Cadeau, and former Atlanta Police Chief George Turner.
The Atlanta Police Department fired Cadeau last year.
