Officials demolish DeKalb County home as part of sewer repair

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. - Authorities in DeKalb County demolished a home on Wednesday morning.

It's the first step in fixing a repeating sewer spill.

Crews will begin construction and repairs of sewer pipes near Melanie Court in Decatur.

Since 2014, the manhole in that court has had 22 repeat spills.

That's the most ever recorded at one location in the county.
