OSHA finds tree trimmer's death in Acworth was preventable
ACWORTH, Ga. - A newly-released OSHA report has determined that the death of a tree trimming contractor in May could have been avoided.
The 38-year-old worker for Serious Tree Services was electrocuted on the job in Acworth when his equipment made contact with an unprotected power line while trimming a tree.

Investigators concluded that the company exposed employees to hazardous conditions by allowing them to work too close to the power lines.
OSHA cited the company for four serious violations and proposed penalties totaling more than $29,000. Serious Tree Services now has two weeks to respond to the report.
