ParkMobile settlement: Here's how you can submit your claim

If you've used the ParkMobile app to park anywhere in Atlanta, you may be eligible for a cash payment.

The Atlanta-based app just reached an almost $33 million settlement in a class-action lawsuit over a 2021 data breach.

In March 2021, the company announced that a vulnerability in a third-party system it uses allowed someone to access customer data. ParkMobile said that only basic user information like license plat numbers, phone numbers, and email address were affected. No credit card information or social secuity numbers were accessed in the breach.

Several federal lawsuits claim that around 21 million users' personal information was exposed in the breach, claiming damages for possible identity theft and fraud.

While the company has denied all claims, it has agreed to the proposed settlement, which may be approved in 2025.

Attorneys have set up a website for affected individuals to sign up for the settlement here. Approved claims could get participants up to $25.

The deadline to file a claim is March 5, 2025. A hearing is set for March 13, 2025, to approve the settlement.

If you do not file a claim, you'll receive a $1 credit on the ParkMobile app.

Who's entitled to the ParkMobile settlement?
