Pedestrian struck, killed in Clayton County

CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. (FOX 5 Atlanta) - A man is dead after being struck by a  in Clayton County.

The 25-year-old pedestrian was crossing the street when he was hit near the intersection of Garden Walk Boulevard and Riverdale Road.  

Police were focusing on an SUV with front end damage at the collision site.  It’s unclear if the driver is facing charges. 

There are crosswalks at the intersection but police did not indicate whether the victim was using them when he was struck.

His identity has not been released.
