(Photo by Anna Moneymaker/Getty Images) PLAINS, Ga. - Former first lady Rosalynn Carter was laid to rest on Wednesday, ending a three-day celebration of life for the global humanitarian, social activist, and public servant.
An invitation-only funeral service was scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. After the service, she was driven to the Carter residence for burial, which was done in private.
