ATLANTA - Police have released surveillance pictures of a man they are attempting to locate in connection to an attack on a Grady High School student in Midtown.
On November 12th, Atlanta Police said Conor Downey was ambushed in Midtown. Downey needed stitches on his ear.
"A guy came up behind me. I never saw him at all before he hit me," said 17-year-old Conor Downey.
He said he was attacked at the corner of Peachtree Place and Crescent, near where other attacks have happened this year.
Police initially believed it was a Curtis Bethea, 32, who was tied by investigators to at least three unprovoked punching attacks in the Midtown area. But police have since learned that Bethea, who police said has a record of random attacks since 2008, was in jail at the time of the attack.
Anyone who recognizes the man in the sketches is asked to call the Atlanta Police Department or Atlanta Crime Stoppers.
