HARRIS COUNTY, Ga. - A church in Pine Mountain is heavily damaged after a lightning struck the steeple during storms on Tuesday night.

Christ the King Catholic Church off GA Highway 354 suffered the damage, and its members are trying to figure out the next steps.
Photos and posts were shared on Facebook on Wednesday to show the damage.
The church building was dedicated in 2007 and had finished constructing a six million dollar pastoral building in 2016.
Marlane Boyle posted, " I knew it was a bad storm but never expected this."
