Police are investigating after several people were shot in a DeKalb County neighborhood Wednesday evening.

Officers first responded to the 4000 block of Waldrop Hills Drive around 9:45 p.m. Neighbors told police they heard shots in the area.

Police said two men, ages 30 and 27, were found outside a home suffering from gunshot wounds. They were transported in stable condition to an area hospital.

A third man, age 26, showed up at DeKalb Medical Center at Hillandale sometime later and authorities said he was listed in critical condition late Wednesday evening. He was later transferred to Grady Memorial Hospital.

Several bullet holes were visible in nearby homes and vehicles.

“We don't have all the details. We know there was a lot of gunfire. We don't know all the details yet of who was shooting where,” said Lt. Shane Stanfield, DeKalb County Police Department.

Lt. Standfield said they were not sure if this started as an argument or a robbery attempt. Investigators would not openly speculate on if there was one or multiple shooters.

Information about a suspect was not immediately clear.

The names of those involved have not yet been released.
