Man shot on Howell Mill Road in West Midtown Atlanta; person in custody
ATLANTA - Atlanta police say one person has been taken into custody Wednesday, about five hours after a shooting in West Midtown.
Police say officers responded around 12:15 p.m. to the 900 block of Howell Mill Road.
Video supplied by a FOX 5 Atlanta viewer show police putting up crime scene tape and an ambulance.
Police say a man was shot and was transported to a nearby hospital. Police say the man is "stable" but did not say what his condition is at this time.
Just after 5 p.m., police say one person was in custody, but their identity has not been released.
Atlanta police have released very little about the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
Superica West Midtown, Sushi Eight Lounge and The Brady apartment complex are in that area. Superica posted that it is closed for tonight on its Instagram account.
