Police arrest five in Newnan drug bust
NEWNAN, Ga. - Five people are behind bars Sunday morning following a drug bust in Newnan.
The GBI West Metro Regional Drug Enforcement Office and the Newnan Police Department conducted a search of a vehicle and hotel room at a La Quinta Inn.
Officials say they found methamphetamine, marijuana, pills, and more than $6,000 in cash.
Five people were arrested on a number of charges, including trafficking meth, possession of pills, and possession of marijuana.
They are currently held at the Coweta County Jail.
