Police: Arrest made in cold-case murder of Gwinnett County mother

GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. - Officers have made an arrest in the 13-year-old cold case murder of a Gwinnett County mother. according to Gwinnett County Police.

Leslie Adams, a 40-year-old mother of two, disappeared in October 2005. Police said she vanished just days after seeking a restraining order against her former boyfriend, Billy Cook.

FOX 5 has learned that a man by the name of Billy Cook, 51, was arrested Thursday and faces a murder charge, according to Gwinnett County Police. Police told FOX 5 News more details will be released Friday.

Authorities discovered Adams' remains in 2007 near Interstate 85 in Franklin County.
