Police: 'Dangerous' suspect identified in Statesboro bar shooting
STATESBORO, Ga. - Police in Statesboro, Georgia have arrested a suspect in connection with a shooting at a local bar and grill on Saturday.
Officials say officers responded to a fight with shots fired at the Midtown Bar and Grill just after midnight on Saturday, May 5.
After managing the large crowd in front of the business, officers from multiple departments investigated the crime and have identified 22-year-old Conyers resident Frank Junior Emeka.
Officials have now obtained warrants have been obtained for Emeka’s arrest in connection to this incident. Police are asking anyone who has information about where Emeka to please call 911 immediately. Emeka is considered armed and dangerous, authorities said.
The two unidentified victims have been transported to East Georgia Regional Medical Center with nonlife-threatening injuries. Both victims are in stable condition.
Another person, 22-year-old Riverdale resident Kelly Butler, was arrested and charged with a count of obstructing or hindering law enforcement.
