LITHONIA, Ga. - Police need help identifying a man suspected in a deadly home invasion early Monday, according to authorities.
DeKalb County Police said the man, who was wearing a wig and arched eyebrows, broke into a house on Beechwood Forest Drive just outside of Lithonia. The homeowner shot the man in the stomach after he continued to walk towards him in a basement, according to investigators.
Lt. Lonzy Robertson told FOX 5's Marissa Mitchell the homeowner will likely not face charges in what is considered a "justifiable" shooting.
The deceased burglar is described as a dark-skinned black man, 5'6'' to 5'8'' weighing 180 pounds. Lt. Robertson said the man was wearing a burgundy shirt and shorts at the time of the crime.
